He then took off by foot, but later was caught Wednesday morning. The incident occurred around 11:30 p.m. Tuesday when police stopped his Nissan 350Z convertible on Cherry Street and U.S. 1 in Melbourne, Brevard County, Florida. Police say the man looked to be intoxicated. The article goes onto say that when police asked him to step out of the vehicle he then punched the officer several times and fled from the scene. Police followed the man and shortly after he crashed his car into a home on Melbourne Avenue. The man was arrested just before 3:00 a.m. near Hallwood Place. The woman in the vehicle was taken to Holmes Regional Medical Center in Melbourne, Brevard County, Florida.
