Florida Today-April 1, 2013-According to the article Melbourne police are trying determine what caused a sport utility vehicle to hit three fisherman on the Eau Gallie Causeway late Monday night, killing two of the men. The accident occurred around 11:42 p.m. Monday on the relief bridge east of the causeway in Melbourne, Brevard County, Florida. Melbourne police state that the vehicle was traveling westbound on Eau Gallie Boulevard when three men were struck on the north side of the shoulder. As a result of the incident two men were killed. One man was thrown over the bridge wall into the Indian River. Brevard County Fire Rescue pulled the mans body out of the water about 15 minutes later. The third man was taken to the hospital and it is in stable condition. Eau Gallie Boulevard was closed for hours overnight due to the incident.
