Bicyclist Killed After Collision with FPL Truck in Melbourne
Florida Today-March 5, 2013-According to the article a Melbourne man on a bicycle was killed after a collision with a Florida Power and Light bucket truck on Monday afternoon near Eau Gallie Boulevard and Johns Rodes Boulevard in Melbourne, Brevard County, Florida. The 55-year-old was riding his bike westbound on the south sidewalk of Eau Gallie Boulevard when he 47-year-old FPL driver was turning right northbound from John Rodes Boulevard. The article goes onto say that as the truck turned to head east the bicyclist entered the intersection in front of the truck. The bicyclist went under the truck and was killed. The accident affected traffic in that area for hours.

A Man Airlifted After Late-Night Assault
Florida Today-February 25, 2013-According to the article a 25-year-old man was airlifted to the hospital Saturday night after an assault that occurred in the 8800 block of Astronaut Boulevard in Cape Canaveral, Brevard County, Florida. Emergency medical services were alerted around 11:34 p.m. The victim was flown to Holmes Regional Medical Center in Melbourne, Brevard County, Florida.
