Melbourne Man Injured in Wreck
Florida Today-January 26, 2012-According to the article a Melbourne, Brevard County, Florida man suffered minor injuries and was hospitalized early Friday after a fiery crash on the Beachline Expressway just outside Orlando, Florida. According to Florida Highway Patrol a 1994 Ford van and a dump truck were both headed west on the highway when the can rear-ended the dump truck. This caused both vehicles to go off the north side of the road and catch on fire. The 51-year-old Melbourne man was taken to Orlando Regional Medical Center. The 41-year-old dump truck driver from Orlando was not injured. The accident occurred around 4:30 a.m.

Woman Dead and Mom Injured in ShootingFlorida Today-January 22, 2012-According to the article a Cocoa family was planning to celebrate one members 7th birthday on Monday when an unknown man ran into their apartment and gunned down two women. The man killed one and gravely wounded the other according to police. The second woman was shot several times, including once in the head. She was airlifted and taken to Holmes Regional Medical Center in Melbourne, Brevard County, Florida. The article goes onto say the police arrived at the Clearlake Road address with reports of gunfire just after noon on Monday. The two women have not been identified, but are mother and daughter. Its not clear whether or not they were targeted or it was random crime. Witnesses reported seeing the suspect fleeing the scene along a fence on the south side of the apartments. Police believe his gun may have gone off as he jumped over the fence. There was a bullet hole found in the window of a red car parked nearby.

Pedestrian Struck on State Road 50Florida Today-February 4, 2013-According to the article a pedestrian was struck by a vehicle driven by an off-duty Brevard County sheriffs deputy Saturday night on State Road 50 in Titusville, Brevard County, Florida. City police are investigating the incident. The20-year-old pedestrian was transported to the hospital with serious injuries after he was hit by a 2001 Honda at about 10:45 p.m. The incident occurred near Hickory Hill Boulevard in Titusville. The article goes onto say that the pedestrian was not in the crosswalk. The driver, 49-year-old Titusville resident, rendered aid to the pedestrian and remained at the scene until police arrived. The deputy was not working and driving a personal vehicle at the time of the accident.

An Injured Motorcyclist Taken from Merritt Island AirportFlorida Today-January 30, 2013-According to the article a motorcyclist was airlifted from Merritt Island Airport this afternoon after crashing his motorcycle. Apparently, the cyclist lost control of his motorcycle while on a road at the airport off South Courtenay Parkway on Merritt Island, Brevard County, Florida. The article goes onto say that the motorcyclist suffered head injuries and was airlifted in stable condition. The accident occurred around 2:15 p.m.
