A Titusville Pedestrian Killed
Florida Today-December 31, 2012-According to the article a 53-year-old Titusville, Brevard County, Florida pedestrian was struck by a car and killed Sunday morning near Sherwood Golf Center. A Mims, Brevard County, Florida man faces charges of DUI manslaughter and for leaving the scene of a crash. At about 7:55 a.m the pedestrian was walking on the sidewalk along Holder Road near Holder Park Drive just on the east side of Interstate 95 from the golf course. According to Florida Highway Patrol the 23-year-old driving a 2001 Ford Taurus north on Holder Road lost control of his vehicle in a right hand curve. The article goes onto say that the car struck the man and veered into a wooded area. The driver fled on foot. Trooper later found him hiding behind a fence near the crash scene. The driver was arrested and taken to Parrish Medical Center in Titusville, Brevard County, Florida for minor injuries then later booked in the Brevard County Jail Complex.
