Florida Today-November 17, 2012-According to the article four people and a dog were pulled from the Indian River Lagoon on Friday after their 15-foot boat capsized north of the Melbourne Causeway in Brevard County, Florida. One person was taken to the hospital and Brevard County animal services were called to treat the dog according to Melbourne police. The article goes onto the boat capsized at about 1:30 p.m. Two of the boaters managed to swim to a nearby piling about 75 yards from the shoreline with the dog in tow, while other two clung to the overturned hull. The four people and the 45-pound dog were taken to Front Street Park in Melbourne, Brevard County, Florida and were given blankets to warm up and be treated.
