Melbourne Crash Injuries Four and Snarls U.S. 1 Traffic
Florida Today-November 9, 2012-According to the article four people were injured in a multiple-vehicle wreck that snarled rush hour traffic on U.S. 1 about two blocks south of Babcock Street in Melbourne, Brevard County, Florida Thursday afternoon. According to an initial investigation a minivan was heading north on the highway when it crossed center lines and hit a southbound Chevrolet Camaro. The Camaro then was pushed into a southbound Honda SUV that was pushed into two vehicles parking in a lot on North Harbor City Boulevard. Both drivers involved in the car crash were extricated and taken to Health First Holes Regional Medical Center in Brevard County, Florida. The two individuals in the Honda were also taken to the hospital. The article goes onto say that most of the lanes on U.S. 1 were closed for about two hours because of the wreck.
