Florida Today-NOVEMBER 2, 2012-According to the article an Ovieda man has pleaded guilty to drunken driving in a car wreck that killed a woman on Merritt Island, Brevard County, Florida in late 2010. The 49-year-old driver was driving against traffic on December 30th, 2010 on North Courtenay Parkway on Merritt Island when he hit a 2005 Chrysler PT Cruiser. The driver woman driver from Mims, Brevard County, Florida died two later from her injuries. The driver pleaded guilty at the Moore Justice Center in Viera, Brevard County, Florida on Wednesday to a charge of driving under the influence-manslaughter. The man was taken into custody pending sentencing which is set for January. Prosecutors will be asking Brevard Circuit Judge to impose a 15-year prison sentence.
