A Car Crashes into Hess Gas Station
Florida Today-September 25, 2012-According to the article a 1992 blue two-door Ford crashed into the Hess gas station near Babcock Street and Florida Avenue in Melbourne, Brevard County, Florida Monday morning around 9:15 a.m. There were no injuries reported in the crash. The crash is still under investigation by Melbourne Police Department. The article goes onto say that there was either a mechanical failure or a operator error that caused the older driver to lose control and crash into the convenience store. There were about four people inside the store at the time of the crash.

Motorcyclist Badly Injured in US 1 Crash
Florida Today-September 26, 2012-According to the article a motorcyclist was critically injured in a hit-and-run crash near 1701 N. U.S. 1 in Mims, Florida at 4:00 p.m. Tuesday. The driver of motorcycle is in his mid 30s and was flown to Holmes Regional Medical Center in Melbourne, Brevard County, Florida. The motorcyclist was not wearing a helmet at the time of the accident. The article goes onto say that the motorcyclist hit the back of a car, which fled the scene after the crash.

Tanker Flips, Liquids Leak and Blocks Traffic in Cocoa
Florida Today-September 26, 2012-According to the article an industrial waste tanker flipped over in Cocoa, causing a heavily used on-ramp to close and blocking traffic for more than seven hours Tuesday. The rollover incident occurred around 1:40 p.m. near U.S. 1 and the westbound on-ramp of State Road 528. The tanker was carrying water containing degreaser. The rollover accident caused a valve near the top of the tank to leak. There are pictures taken by Florida Today of brownish liquid pouring from the trucks tank onto a grassy area near the side of the road. The article goes onto say that crews used inflatable kiddie pools to try to contain the spill. The driver of the tanker truck apparently took the ramp too quickly and the vehicle rolled over. The driver, who was not injured, is being charged with careless driving and improper placard.
