100-Year-Old Driver Injures 9 Kids, 2 Adults Near School
USA Today-August 30 ,2012-According to the article a 100-year-old driver plowed into a crowd outside a Los Angeles elementary school this afternoon, injuring nine children and two adults. Los Angeles police now say that the driver is 100 years old and that 11 people were injured, including nine children. Four of the children are in critical condition.

Jury Clears Former Minnesota Officer in Police Chase Injury
Claims Journal-August 30, 2012-According to the article a Hennepin County jury has cleared a former police officer accused of negligence by a man who says he was injured in a police chase. A man claimed the officer forced him through a red light into a Twin Cities intersection where the mans vehicle was hit by another vehicle. The man also sued the city of Sartell. The officer was on duty but not in uniform at the time. He was trying to serve a forfeiture notice on mans vehicle, which had been driven by a suspect arrested in a drug investigation. The St. Cloud Times reports the jury found Monday that man was negligent, and his own negligence caused his injuries. The article goes onto say that the officer left the force last September. He was elected a Stearns County commissioner in 2010.
