Firefighters Rescue Trapped Motorist
Florida Today-August 20, 2012-According to the article Cocoa Beach firefighters cut the roof off a Toyota Corolla and rescued an injured motorist Sunday morning on South Orlando Avenue in Cocoa Beach, Brevard County, Florida. The incident occurred at about 10:45 a.m. The driver was heading south onto Eight Street South from the right-hand lane, when she was T-boned by a southbound Ford Flex in the left lane. The vehicle was heavily damaged and the driver complained of back and neck pains. According to fire rescue, there was no way out of the vehicle, so they cut the roof off and got the driver out. The woman was transported to Cape Canaveral Hospital in Titusville, Brevard County, Florida. Rescue personnel temporarily closed State Road A1A and helped direct traffic.

A 1-Year-Old Boy Hospitalized After Near-DrowningFlorida Today-August 20, 2012-According to the article a 1-year-old boy was rushed to Palm Bay Hospital in Brevard County, Florida after a possible near-drowning accident that occurred Sunday night. The incident occurred at The Park at Palm Bay in an apartment complex near San Fillippo Drive at about 7:15 p.m.
