Flying Truck Parts Kill Girl on Atlanta Highway By SEO Admin on July 12, 2012

The New York Times-July 12, 2012-According to the article an 8-year-old girl was killed and her mother lost part of an arm when an engine fell off an oncoming semitrailer and crashed through the windshield of their SUV downtown Atlanta. According to Georgia State Patrol the truck was heading east when the parts of its transmission came off and went across the median, striking the westbound Chevrolet Blazer on Wednesday night. The debris went through the windshield, striking her daughter who was in the back seat. The woman was able to bring her vehicle to a stop near the median wall. The 29-year-old woman was taken to Grady Memorial Hospital, where her arm was amputated below the elbow.
