Florida Property Owner to Pay $1 Million Wrongful Death Claim By SEO Admin on July 12, 2012

Insurance Journal-July 11, 2012-According to the article the family of a woman killed in a drug-related shooting will receive $1 million from the property owner for a wrongful death claim. The Florida Times Union reported that a 19-year-olds twin toddlers are among her beneficiaries in the pre-lawsuit settlement finalized just last week. According to police the woman was an innocent bystander who was gunned down August 20th, as she sat outside her apartment. Her attorney said the property owner failed to provide security at the crime-ridden apartment complex even though it was in a high crime area. The article goes onto say that two men were killed in the shooting and a toddler recovered from a gunshot to the head. The womans mother filed the lawsuit. She is now the guardian of the twin boys.
