Florida Today-February 28, 2012-According to the article, a 23-year-old motorcyclist was killed early Monday when he hit a utility poles guy wire. The crash occurred on North Tropical Trail near Trails End Drive on Merritt Island, Brevard County, Florida shortly after midnight. Florida Highway Patrol stated that the Merritt Island resident was traveling south when he failed to negotiate the curve and traveled onto the western shoulder. The motorcyclists 2004 Honda hit the wire and he was thrown into the grass. The motorcyclist was wearing a helmet at the time of the crash.
