Florida Today-September 28, 2011-Andrew Knapp-According to the article a 61-year-old man died Tuesday morning in Malabar, Brevard County, Florida after he turned into traffic and was struck by a Sheriffs deputy on a motorcycle. The man suffered from a minor leg injury, but later died in the hospital. The deputy suffered some scrapes and an arm injury from the accident. According to the article the bicyclist was traveling eastbound on Corey Road in Malabar, Florida around 7:20 a.m. when he turned left into the path of the deputys motorcycle. The motorcycle collided with the bicycles left side. The bicyclist was thrown from his bike and the deputy ended up in the a grassy ditch. Bits of plastic were thrown in the roadway from crash. The articles goes onto say the deputy was traveling 55 mph, the posted speed limit, and conducting a regular traffic patrol.
