Triumph Motorcycle Recall
Triumph is recalling certain model year Thunderbird and Thunderbird ABS motorcycles manufactured from September 2009 through August 2010. These motorcycles were built with incompatible thread lockers/screw combination at the front fender mounting.
Triumph states that the screws may work loose and the screw heads can contact the side wall of the front tire leading to tire deflation, increasing the risk of a crash.
Triumph dealers will install new screws, free of charge. The manufacturer has not yet provided an owner notification schedule. Owners may contact Triumphs customer service department at 678-539-8782 NHTSA Campaign ID#: 11V277000.
