A Man Survives Reckless Driving Crash on Beachline
Florida Today-June 3, 2011-Andrew Knapp-According to the article, a "reckless driver" crashed on the Beachline Thursday afternoon after reaching for a cigarette which lead to his passenger fatally injured lying on the roadside. The vehicle was speeding east on theBeachline in Brevard County, Florida when the pick-up veered onto a grassy median just east of Banana River Drive in Merritt Island, Brevard County, Florida then rotated clockwise flipping the vehicle two-and-a-half times. The article goes onto say a 9-1-1 call was reported about an erratic driver. The Brevard County Sheriffs Office was only about two miles away from the pick-up when the driver lost control and crashed. This was 31st fatal crash in Brevard County this year. According to court records the driver had been ticketed in the past for speeding at least nine times in Brevard County, Florida and has been issued careless driving citations.
