Homes Lose Power When Pole Collapses By SEO Admin on October 15, 2010

According to a Florida Today article (Florida Today-October12, 2010-Andrew Knapp)-According to this article several Cocoa home lost power recently when a "rotten" power pole fell, blowing an electrical transformer and taking three other power poles with it. According to the district Chief of the Cocoa Fire Department there was no significant damage and no injuries. Unfortunately 58 customers did loose electrical power. Apparently, "the pole was badly rotted at the base. There was wind. It just fell," according to the district chief. Power was restored to all customers on the same day.
