BMW Motorcycle Recall

By SEO Admin on September 22, 2010

BMW is recalling certain 2005 through 2009 R1200 RT police motorcycles manufactured from April 2005 through September 2009. Apparently, the bracket which supports the audible signaling device can break, possibly allowing the signaling device to fall from the vehicle and onto the roadway. The potential consequence is that should the signal device fall from the motorcycle it could become an obstacle for other drivers which may result in a crash. BMW motorcycles has not yet provided NHTSA with a remedy plan and notification schedule. Owners may contact BMW Motorcycles at 800-525-7417.
