Ducati Submits a Recall Notice for Several 2009 Sport Bikes

www.motorcycle.com742009 - Ducati submitted a recall notice for 2009 1098R, 1198S and Street Fighter motorcycles. The right fork unaffected motorcycles may have cracking in deformation at the wheel axle pinch bolt area. According to reports submitted to NHTSA, Ducati states the affected forks have insufficient amount of material around the axle mount which can place excessive stress on the fork. Ducati dealers will inspect the defected motorcycles and if necessary, replace the entire fork with a new one with a stronger front axle mount. Potentially , 732 are affected by the recall.
