Kawasaki Motorcycle Recall

By SEO Admin on May 22, 2009

Motorcycle Consumer News-Volume 40 No. 5-May 2009-With respect to the model 2009 Volcan 2000 theres a recall on the exterior lighting: headlights. Kawasaki is recalling 18 MY 2009 Volcan 2000 motorcycles. Apparently these motorcycles failed to comply with their requirements of the Federal Motor Vehicle Safety standard number 108 "lamps, Reflective Devices and Associated Equipment." The headlight assembly includes multiple bulbs and lens elements. The none compliant head lamps were assembled with lens incorrectly positioned, affecting photo metric performance. As a result inadequate lighting could reduce the visibility of the motorcycle increasing their risk of a crash. Kawasaki dealers will inspect the headlight assembly and replace it free of charge. Kawasaki Motorcycles may be contacted at 866-802-9381. NATS Campaign ID#: 09V0972000
