Personal injury attorney Stephen G. Charpentier has been a member of the Florida Justice Association (FJA) since 1983 and is on the board of directors. This association works to consistently defend the rights of Florida citizens.
The Florida Justice Association is virtually the only organization in the State of Florida that consistently defends the rights of Florida’s families, Florida’s consumers, and Florida’s citizens in general. Its purpose and mission is to preserve rights of the injured, of the oppressed, of those it need access to the civil justice system. I am proud to be a member of this organization and I have been a member since 1983. I am also proud of the fact that the organization has permitted me to be active within its structure. I have been on the Board of Directors, I am currently the chairperson for the Statewide Legislative Task Force on nursing home legislation. What the organization does is help legislators come to the right conclusion when dealing with the issues of civil justice and of wrongs to Florida’s citizens, it drafts legislation and proposes that to legislators, it guides legislators and gives them information to help make the correct decisions. Another valuable aspect of the organization, is brings along or mentors young lawyers. It helps them learn not only the law, but how to behave in front of juries, how to act with your client, how to help people through times of crisis when their needs are the greatest. I am proud to be a part of this organization and plan on continuing in that work as long as my mind and body will allow.
