18-Month-Old Hospitalized After Near Drowning

Florida Today-July 21, 2009-An 18-month-old child remained hospitalized Monday after nearly drowning in a family swimming pool. The unfortunate incident occurred at a home near the intersection of Lee Road and Kittle Street in Mims, Brevard County, Florida. A nearby Brevard County Sheriff’s office deputy responded and performed CPR on the child who, according to this article, was under water “an extended period of time.”

The child was taken to Parrish Medical Center in Titusville and transferred to Arnold Palmer Hospital for Children in Orlando.
