Florida Today-May 18, 2010-Michelle Spitzer-The Brevard Community College Board of Trustees voted 4-1 to transfer ownership of the Cocoa Village Playhouse to the city in which it resides-Cocoa-if Cocoa wants it back. According to the article, Cocoa city counselor members have said they would explore the possibility after taking a look at the theater’s finances. Brevard Community College vice chair, Steven G. Charpentier likened the deal to a child who is matured and is ready to leave home. “I see this as a situation where BCC took a child that was in dyer need,” Charpentier said. “Wasn’t going to survive without our help. It wasn’t going to breathe without our help. We nurtured this child. The child grew, the child got strong…now it’s time to the spread the wings and go.” “It’s not for us to say we’re going to hold you back on tether because we’re going to make you pay ever nickel you took from us.” Short, the Cocoa Village Playhouse is not fit the core mission of Brevard Community College but does, in fact, fit squarely into the core mission of the city of Cocoa.

Visor Down-May 10, 2010-According to this article Yamaha knew that 2009 was going to be a tough year, predicting a loss of 182 billion yen. Unfortunately, the actual numbers are significantly worse, with an actual net loss of 216.1 billion yen. This makes Harley-Davidson’s losses appear small. Why is this happening? Worldwide bike sales have dropped nearly 21%- with the biggest hits coming in the core markets of the U.S., down 46% in Europe, which has dropped by more than 33%. Yamaha is also suffering losses with regard to its marine products. Yamaha plans to close 7 of it’s 21 factories and slash an extra 1,000 jobs on top of the 1,700 jobs it’s already cut. The majority of these job cuts will be in the firm’s higher-end bike factories.

Why would the County do this? Because the County’s attorneys’ (including Steve G. Charpentier, Esq.) have filed their own similar lawsuit and believe they can win a separate, larger multi-million dollar judgment.

US Patton Application-12/474, 52, filed by Ducati Motor holding on May 29, 2009, describes a motorcycle chassis comprised of distinct front and rear structures and the engine as a load-bearing member. Sources say that a better than a 50/50 chance now exists that we will see this “frame less” concept on production Ducati Motorcycles. Keep in mind that the late John Britten showed a similar structure on his bikes in the early 90’s (although he had a different front suspension).
