BMW Motorcycle Recall

BMW is recalling MY 2009 F800 GS vehicles. The axle shaft wall thickness may not have been manufactured according to specifications. Consequences: if the wall thickness was not sufficient, the axle shaft could deform and could break, increasing the risk of a crash. Remedy: dealers will inspect the axle shaft assembly and replace or repair the necessary components without charge. Owners may contact BMW at 800-831-1117. NHTSA Campaign ID# 09V088000.

Man Jumps Off Casino Ship

Florida Today-April 30, 2009-According to the Brevard County Sheriff’s Office a man jumped off a SunCruz Casinos ship at Port Canaveral in Brevard County and swam to Jetty Park. The man, James Rynor, jumped from the ship on a fifteen dollar dare. Apparently the ship was entering the port when the jump occurred.

Motorcycle Accident Disrupts Traffic on Eau Gallie Blvd.

Florida Today-April 30, 2009-An unfortunate motorcycle accident occurred at the 600 block of Eau Gallie Blvd. near Guava Avenue in Melbourne, Brevard County, Florida. Melbourne police worked to clear the scene.

Citizens Insurance Rates will Increase

Florida Today-April 29, 2009-Associated Press- Customers of the State of Florida backed Citizens Property Insurance Corporation are probably going to see their premiums increase. As of yet the amount has not been determined. According to this article the Florida Senate recently passed an amended version of a Florida house proposal (HB 1495) and sent it back to the Senate with a 5% cap on the rate increase.

Motorcycle Crash Delays State Road 528 Traffic in Brevard County

Florida Today-April 29, 2009-Brevard County motorist recently experienced traffic delays on the Indian River Bridge, while paramedics treated a motorcycle rider injured in an accident. This unfortunate accident occurred in the east bound lane of State Road 528 in Brevard County, Florida. The Florida highway patrol was at the scene to investigate the crash.
